KIND-hearted students in Felpham have shown off their charity spirit.

Pupils from Felpham Community College celebrated their efforts during their week-long annual charity challenge by handing over cheques totalling more than £4,000.

The week, which is one of the traditional highlights of the school’s year, was held at the end of last month and sees students help out three worthy causes.

A variety of money-spinning activities were planned, including, a fashion show, a sponsored dog walk and swim, tutor group challenges and a sixth form quiz and sleepover.

The result of the student’s work was recognised at a special presentation ceremony.

Three cheques for £1,445 each were given to representatives from the school’s chosen charities for 2012 – St Wilfrid’s Hospice, The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
