DRIVERS across the Observer area have been reminded to take care on the roads during the morning rush hour, following high winds and heavy rain overnight.
Since midnight (Thursday, January 15) police have received reports of more than 20 incidents involving trees, and some street furniture, obstructing roads, mainly in rural areas.
There are also reports of standing water in some roads.
However there have been no reports of serious crashes involving injury so far.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Please continue to take extra care out there this morning, look out for road obstructions and water and slow down whenever necessary.”
