CRIME facts around Bognor Regis are available at residents’ fingertips.
They can find out if crime is happening on their doorstep through a new interactive website.
The Safer Arun Partnership, which includes Arun District Council’s community safety team, has gone live with its new-look site www.saferarun.co.uk.
Residents can search for incidents by area, as well as stay up-to-date on the latest news and crime prevention initiatives via the @SaferArun homepage Twitter feed.
News stories will continue to be updated on the homepage, as on the old Safer Arun website, but residents can now feed back their comments about those stories.
A mini news feed on the new site to provide regular crime alerts.
Arun’s cabinet member for community safety, Cllr Paul Wotherspoon, said: “We’re keen to get residents interacting with us more and this new site makes it much easier for them to do that. “Not only do they now have better access to information about crime and disorder, they can tell us how they think we should be tackling it.”
Council community safety officer Richard Bartram said: “The new website has been designed to keep people much better informed about what is going on in their area.”
They would be able to see the crimes and incidents which affected their neighbourhoods.
