Assault and robbery in Bognor Regis


Police are appealing for witnesses after a 28-year-old man of no fixed address was assaulted and robbed in Bognor Regis on Friday (November 27).

The victim was walking through the subway in Gordon Avenue at around 7.45pm when he was approached by two other men.

They asked him for a cigarette before pulling him to the ground and kicking him. They took £85 cash from his pocket before running off towards Longford Road.

One of the suspects is described as white, 6’ tall with short blonde hair and was wearing a blue hooded top. The other is white, between 5’ 8” and 5’9” and was wearing a red baseball cap. They were heard talking to each other in a foreign language and both spoke to the victim with European accents.

Detective Sergeant Alan Fernn said: “This was an unprovoked assault which left the victim shaken and bruised.

“We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area.”
