A WINNER could be raising a glass of their own plonk in celebration.
The Robin Hood, on Shripney Road, is celebrating the start of the grape harvesting season in style, by offering all wine buffs the chance to own their very own patch of vineyard in one of France’s famous grape-growing regions.
The overall winner will also reap the benefits of the harvest as the package includes six bottles of wine from the vineyard, plus two nights’ accommodation for two near the vineyard, flights and spending money.
Jason Lloyd, manager at the Chef and Brewer pub, said: “Our guests regularly ask where our great range of wines come from, so we are excited to be able to send someone direct to the region we source them from.
“Not only that, but the lucky wine aficionado will also be able to say they are now their own wine producer and impress their friends with their expert vineyard knowledge.”
