Volunteers are being sought to keep Climping’s churchyard looking neat and tidy.
Hard work by a dedicated team of gardeners during the past 25 years has made the area at St Mary Church a tranquil and beautiful place.
But the remaining members of the small and devoted team, who have changed over the years, are leaving due to age and infirmity.
Newcomers are required to fill their places.
At least six people able to give a couple of hours a week are needed to stop the churchyard slipping back into an appallingly-overgrown state.
Only three gardeners are left, including one in his eighties.
Anyone who can help should see Phillip after church services or phone him on 01903 721332.
