Child treated after kitchen fire

A two-year-old boy has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a property in Spencer Street, Bognor Regis.

Firefighters from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called the the kitchen fire, which was caused by an electric kettle left on a hob.

The fire was extinguished with water from the kitchen tap.

The service were called to the incident, which occured in a first floor flat, at 3.20pm this afternoon (April 20).
