Carissa will return to home town as actress

FORMER Bognor Regis pupil Carissa Rickeard will be returning to the town to pass on her acting experiences.

Carissa will share what she has learnt since becoming a performer, with workshops at schools and colleges.

She is one of five performers with the A Point Theatre Company based in Switzerland which has created its first play.

“The company have just performed the premiere of Transit in Le Locle, Switzerland, which was a storming success,” she said.

“The public declared they had never seen anything like our style before.

Transit will be performed again in Berne before the UK tour this summer.”

The five-month tour from May will enable Carissa, 22, to visit her home town in between performances at venues from the Brighton Fringe Festival to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

She went to the former The Glade Infant School in Bognor and Rose Green Junior School before she was educated at home. Her family live in North Bersted.

Carissa overcame severe dyslexia to receive the highest-possible qualification in the National Diploma in Performance Production at Northbrook College, Worthing.

She went on to the East 15 Acting School to graduate with a BA Hons in physical theatre. She performed as a dancer at the Olympics before she helped to create Transit. She stars as an introverted Englishwoman.
