AN EXTRA 28 chalets at Butlin’s in Bognor Regis are set to be demolished as a result of its third hotel.
The company wants to partially knock down two rows of the holiday accommodation to use the site as an outdoor seating area for Turners Restaurant opposite.
It has applied for planning permission from Arun District Council to carry out the work.
A statement by the firm’s planning agent, PWP Architects, says: “The area of land freed up by the demolition will be landscaped and used as outdoor amenity space for the neighbouring recently renovated Turners Restaurant.”
Butlin’s had already planned to demolish dozens of chalets once the new Wave Hotel is opened this summer as part of its plans to update rooms there.
