VOTE: firm to work on rebranding to boost Bognor Regis

THE creative minds behind a new brand for Bognor Regis have been revealed.

Bognor Regis Town Council, working with West Sussex County Council and Arun District Council, has unanimously chosen local design agency, Loosemarbles, to provide an agreed brand for the town.

Bognor Regis town mayor, Cllr Eileen Anderson, said: “This is an important opportunity for the town to establish its identity and raise its profile.

“We are starting to see regeneration take shape at last, and the branding project is a crucial part of that process.”

Cllr Gillian Brown, the leader of Arun District Council said it was another step towards improving the town.

She said “With so much going to be happening in Bognor Regis we really felt a need to do this work.

“It will ensure a joined-up and cohesive approach to promotion and design in Bognor Regis.

“There is a lot of work to be done, but this is an exciting project and another small step towards improving the town.”

Loosemarbles is run by creative couple Abby Wilkinson and Will Harvey.

The pair, who live in Felpham, have already showcased some interesting designs for the town.

Their suggestions to revive the town using flair and colour have been previously published in the Observer.

As part of their new mission Abby and Will will be speaking to local groups and elected members when creating their designs.

This information will then be used to identify key messages and themes, create a logo, strapline and colour palette.

Both Abby and Will have said they want to encourage people to come to the town with a range of original ideas. More information on the branding will be announced in two further stages. Firstly, following a stakeholders’ workshop meeting and then once detailed concepts have been worked up.
