Bognor Regis venue TAO will remain open despite a council decision suspending its premises licence for five days.

An Arun District Council licensing sub-committee meeting, convened to consider a premises licence review today (Friday September 28) heard that the bar was not meeting some of its conditions.

The committee decided to suspend TAO’s premises licence for five days and a new designated premises supervisor would have to be appointed.

Dan Slade, owner of TAO, confirmed the venue would remain open as usual this weekend.

The business has 21 days to serve the five-day suspension, during which it cannot sell alcohol.

Dan said there were some exciting developments around the corner with a new kitchen set to open up.

He also described how they were working hard to make improvements, submit all the necessary paperwork and were grateful for the support shown by the town.
