ONE of the biggest stores in Bognor Regis town centre has been saved from closure.
Peacocks in the London Road precinct is staying open for business after the outlet was among those which survived the company’s slimming down after its rescue from administration.
Store manager Lisa Holland put a notice in the front window telling people the good news. It has saved 11 jobs.
She said: “Quite a few of our regular customers have been coming in saying it’s good that we’re still going to be here.
“They are pleased for us and pleased the town is not going to lose another store.
“It was a horrible five weeks in administration and I’m sad for those in the five shops in the region which are closing.”
