REDCOATS at Butlin’s in Bognor Regis have helped to design their new uniform.

They worked with rising British fashion star Hannah Clayton to revamp their famous clothing.

Hannah took on the challenge after designing for flamboyant pop star Lady Gaga and being named as one to watch by Italian Vogue.

She unveiled the results of her creativity on Tuesday on one of the world’s iconic outfits.

“Having spent time with the Redcoats in Bognor,” said Hannah, 25, “I was able to fully understand the importance of their role, the physical demands of the job, and how essential it is that they look and feel the part.

“The most significant changes can be seen in the casual outfits, which adopt a fresh sporty style with a baseball jacket, long-sleeved t-shirts, trousers and red baseball boots.

“The female Redcoats highlighted the desire to feel more feminine.

“Therefore, for the first time a dress has been introduced.”

Famous designers such as Jeff Banks and Zandra Rhodes have redesigned the Redcoats’ uniforms in the past.
