A GROUP of fundraisers will take a dip for charity.

Some 15 people will receive a soaking to raise money for Children in Need.

The event on November 18, will see the fundraisers run into the sea near the Bognor Regis Yacht Club, dressed in their pyjamas.

Organiser Lorraine West said: “We are all really looking forward to it. Children in Need is a great cause.

“I have done a sponsored walk before and this is something different. Hopefully the water won’t be too cold.”

The group will also be joined by their mascot – a lion in desperate need of a name.

Before they receive their dunking, the group – armed with buckets – will be visiting local pubs to drum up some extra sponsorship.

As well as the soaking there will also be a stall set up and a raffle for which local businesses have generously donated prizes. The yacht club has also said fundraisers can all use their showers free of charge after the event. The stall outside the yacht club will be set up from around midday.
