DETAILS of the exact route the Olympic torch will take when it visits the Bognor Regis area will be revealed later this month.
At a meeting of Bogor Regis Town Council’s events, promotion and publicity committee, Sue Holmes, head of street scene and leisure services, said the route would be unveiled later this month.
It will be July 16, when the symbol of the world’s greatest sporting occasion visits the town.
London 2012 organisers have placed the torch’s route through North and South Bersted, Bognor and then up through Woodgate and Eastergate to Arundel as it passes through between Portsmouth and Brighton.
Although organisers have yet to reveal the torch’s final route, and the timing of its appearance, it seems to be going along the A259 into the town and the A29 northwards.
