ARSONISTS struck on two separate occasions in Bognor Regis.

Crews from Bognor and Chichester were called to deal with the deliberate fires less then 30 minutes apart in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, November 7).

At 2.20am two crews from the town’s fire station were called to a caravan park in Shripney Road after reports a mobile home had been set alight.

Using four breathing apparatus and two hose reels the crews quickly got to work fighting the flames.

An external calor gas canister, which was not involved in the fire, was also moved to a safe location.

The home was severely damaged by the deliberate flames.

Firefighters left the call at 3.27am.

At the same time firefighters from Chichester were tackling a fire in Victoria Road.

The alarm was raised at 2.48am after three cars, which had been left in a car park, were set alight.

When the crew arrived the vehicles were already engulfed in flames.

Using two hose reels and two breathing apparatus the crew doused the fire and then damped down the area.

Firefighters left this call, which is also believed to be arson, at 3.32am.
