HUNDREDS of children had fun at the first Aldwick play schemes of the holidays.
The initial sessions on Tuesday attracted large numbers of the over-fives to West Park and Avisford Park.
The 10.30am event in West Park alone saw some 150 youngsters enjoy two hours of fun overseen by Play Rangers in an event funded by Aldwick Parish Council.
A ring world of concentric inflatable rings which contained giant inflatables such as dice held plenty of chances for play.
There were also arts and crafts and wood working sessions as well as a scramble net for further amusement.
North Bersted mother Lisa Cuming watched as her seven-year-old son and his friend, also aged seven, had fun. She said: “We didn’t know this was on but we were coming to West Park anyway. The boys are both having a good time. They’ve seen some other friends of theirs.
“It’s given them something else to do at the park and the chance to play with other children. We will definitely come back.”
The sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at West Park and afternoons at 2.30pm at Avisford Park until August 27.
