Popular television hairdresser Stephen Webb could be helping a Bognor Regis GP to lose her lovely locks.
The Gogglebox character from Channel 4 has already been in touch with Dr Bernadette Marnell but dates have yet to be confirmed.
Dr Marnell, who works at Bognor Medical Practice and lives in Chichester, is raising money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice by having her head shaved.
She said: “I had an early reply from Stephen Webb but am waiting on his dates availability. If that doesn’t work out, I have had offers from a local hairdresser and to have it done in the hospice itself.
“For this reason, I haven’t set a definite date but hope for February, as I currently have £550 raised and want to reach my target of £2,000 – my hair is not going for less.
“Having worked as a local GP for many years, I so appreciate all the wonderful support I and my patients have received from St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
“All the people I have known who have suffered from cancer have been such an inspiration to me - they are very special people.
“People with cancer don’t have a choice in losing their hair. I do have a choice, so it seems fitting to shave my hair as a small tribute to thank them all for the privilege of caring for them.”
