Youngsters can try out table tennis

Free drop-in table tennis taster sessions will be on offer at a Westergate leisure centre.

The session at the Six Villages Leisure Centre will run over the half-term from October 29 to November 2.

Coaches will be on hand to offer guidance and bats and balls will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up and play.

Natasha Brown, from Freedom Leisure, said: “Table tennis can be a lot of fun and most people find it easy to quickly pick up the basic skills.

“By offering free taster sessions with qualified coaches, we’re hoping people will pop in and give it a go.

“Many people are pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get started and lot of fun can be had, too.”

Freedom Leisure is the leading not-for-profit trust in the south east, and provides a wide range of opportunities for improving health and well-being.

They are the third-largest trust of their kind in the UK, and one of their venues was an official training venue for the Olympics.

Members and non-members are welcome. For more information visit
