DELIGHTED modellers have made a big success of their latest show in West Meads.

The annual event by Bognor Regis Military Modelling and Wargaming Society saw its highest number of visitors and its biggest donation to charity.

Nick Sandford, the society’s secretary, said: “We raised £175 for Help for Heroes, which is the most we have collected in the three years we have supported the charity.

“We also had about 150 people come along.

“There are usually 80-100 people there.”

The show – which is about 30 years old – at West Meads Community Hall gave them the chance to make a kit model and take it home. Displays by members were also on show.
