VISITORS will be invited to find out more about St Wilfrid’s Hospice during an open afternoon on Saturday (October 13).
The hospice in Grosvenor Road, Chichester, will open its doors from 2pm to 4.30pm as part of national Hospice Care Week.
This year’s theme is Be Surprised and aims to increase awareness of the work of hospices, which provide specialist palliative care to people with a range of terminal illnesses.
Visitors will be able to watch a video about patient care, tour the hospice and meet staff.
There will also be a chance to tour the award-winning garden, relax with complementary therapists and chat to staff in the fundraising and retail departments.
Chief executive Alison Moorey, said: “You will be guaranteed a warm welcome, an interesting afternoon and we aim to surprise you about the range of work that we do.”
