Youth football: Song calls the tune for Colts
Felpham Colts, Chi City Colts, Midhurst and Easebourne and West Wittering were among winners in the latest round of youth football matches.
UNDER-18

In a close contest, Felpham took all three points thanks to some improved defending and positive attacking play.
Both sides produced early chances but neither side could take the lead before the break. Great defending from Hood and Dubben was a key factor in the win as was Ashmore and Green's partnership in the middle.
In the second half, Brown continued his goal streak, scoring the first from a Song cross. Song was in the thick of it again minutes later when his strike smashed into the top left corner.

Colts controlled the first game. Groom opening the scoring with a superb free-kick, McCarthy added a second and Lochhead got a hat-trick in the second half.
But Barnham outplayed Colts in the second game. A push in the Colts box resulted in a penalty and Chris Wagstaff converted.
A series of strong tackles brought a yellow card for Colts but otherwise this was a fair and full-blooded encounter.
Chris Dobson and Henry Breheny shored up the defence, who outfought the visitors. Colts thought they should had a penalty after Ellis was brought down.

Selsey 0 Chi City Colts A 8
This was a masterclass in flowing football. Rafferty continued his recent form by opening the scoring. Hurford added one from a corner and Symonds scored from long-range before half-time.
Second-half subs Game and Yildirim made massive impacts, both bagging goals.
Rafferty scored perhaps the goal of season. Hurford scored again and Knight completed scoring with a left-foot screamer. Man of the match was Luka Smyth.

Pagham Youth 1 Worthing Rebels 3 (aet)
Worthing took the lead from a 30-yard free kick midway through the first half.
In the second half Pagham caused Worthing problems and equalised with ten minutes when Robbie Strachan scored with a great free-kick.
Worthing scored two more in extra-time.

Predators Youth 1 Midhurst & Easebne 2
Jed Largan opened the scoring for Midhurst halfway through the first half. Predators levelled from a penalty.
Both teams missed chances before Jake Burtoo continued his scoring form with a great shot following a fine run by Sam Cain. Men of the match were J Largan, A Largan and A Wakeham.

Lancing Rangers 1 Barnham Trojans 1
Barnham started the stronger and after a foul on the halfway line, Declan Richards delivered a nicely-weighted ball which Dean Wadey latched on to for the opener.
Five minutes later, a corner led to the equaliser. In the second half Dominic Baker's long-range shot beat the goalie but went inches wide. Wadey headed over.

Angmering Highdown B 2 Summerley Park Rangers 1
On 15 minutes, Kilhams was brought down 25 yards out and Millard produced a stunning free-kick into the top corner.
Highdown equalised when a shot beat Ricky Hambidge in goal.
Highdown continued to press and with five minutes left took the lead with a fine strike from 20 yards. Summerley man of the match was Jack Millard.
The reverse fixture saw Highdown have the early pressure and Rafferty shot just wide before good saves from Hambidge kept Summerley in it. Five minutes from time, a corner was headed in by Highdown. Summerley man of the match was Hambidge.

A superb performance from Colts brought three points in the first game.
Leading scorer Tom McBride popped up to put in the first and Troy, Minton and Long produced great crosses for Jake Porter to bury. The second game was won by Wick through two errors.

Midhurst & Easebne 8 Bourne Sports 0
Midhurst reached the Invitation Cup final for the second year running with an emphatic victory. Goalscorers were Connor Reid (4), Ryan Bicknell (3) and Connor Seal.
They have scored 32 goals and conceded none. Bognor await in the final.
UNDER-TEN
Whyke United A 0 West Wittering 3
West Wittering produced one of their best performances against the top side.
Wittering tore into Whyke with James Street, Sam Tongue and Alfie Montegue going close. Tongue opened the scoring after good work by Josh Cheeseman.
Street's corner was dropped by the keeper and Harry Standing swept home.
Wittering soaked up pressure with Finley Bacon impressive and Lucas
Goldsmith making important tackles.
A strong finish by Tongue sealed the win – and third place.

Midhurst took the lead when Jake Lambert converted. The crossbar denied Selsey an equaliser before the result was sealed by Liam Griffiths.

Saunders was inspired as stand-in keeper.
Trojans opened the scoring through Davidson. Minors hit back, then
Higgins-Pearce scored a blinding free-kick to give Trojans the lead. Goals from Cook and Davidson (2) sealed it.

Colts' pressure told with a superb header from Mason Haga-Hammond.
