With 55 runners in seven races, the meeting will play a major role in deciding who will come out on top of the top trainer and jockey leaderboards for the 2016-17 season – with father and son Gary and Jamie Moore currently leading both categories.

After an impressive treble at the Totepool National Spirit Hurdle Raceday in February, including the feature race with Camping Ground, West Sussex-based Gary Moore has taken the lead from Neil Mulholland as top trainer.

With 11 wins this season, Moore will hope to increase his lead with some impressive entries. Mulholland is only one win behind, however, and will hope to pull level or even take the lead.

British champion trainer Paul Nicholls sits in third place, only two wins from the top. Nicholls has a very impressive 39 per cent strike rate from his runners at Fontwell Park this season, so could easily catch both Mulholland and Moore at the top.

Jamie Moore sits top of the jockey leaderboard with 12 wins and could be set to be named top rider at Fontwell Park, a feat he previously achieved in the 2007-08 season when he finished with an impressive 16 wins.

Moore’s closest rival is champion jockey Richard Johnson, who started of the season with a win on the Philip Hobbs-trained Quadriller at Fontwell Park.
