A family called Gamble are so keen on horse racing they’ve named their six children after racecourses.

Julian and Christine Gamble, from Storrington, are regular customers at Fontwell Park where they have a hospitality suite and also sponsor races.

They also run a successful Worthing-based plant hire business called Winner, which operates across the county.

Their children have been given the middle names Ascot, Tralee, Ayr, Naas, Chantilly and Cheltenham.

Mum Christine said: “Julian and I enjoy a day at the races so much that we decided to make the sport a more permanent fixture in our household by naming the children after various racecourses.”

“The management team at Fontwell Park have been asking if we’ll name our next arrival after their course.

“Unfortunately for Fontwell Park, there are no plans for number seven!”
