The Lashings All Stars have revealed the squad from which they will choose a team to visit Selsey on Sunday, June 8 - and it’s a stellar line-up.

Lashings will select from a squad full of international stars: Gordon Greenidge, Matthew Hoggard, Sulieman Benn, Phil DeFreitas, Devon Malcolm, Owais Shah, Ian Harvey, John Emburey, Dirk Nannes, Ed Giddins, Courtney Walsh, Corey Collymore, Martin Bicknell, Yasir Arafat, Herschelle Gibbs, Fidel Edwards, Iain O’Brien and Saqlain Mushtaq.

They’re all names that will have local cricket fans desperate to catch the action.

The day begins at 9am when the ground and club open to the public and from 9.30 to 11.30am there’s a ladies’ t20 game.

At 11.45 am comes the opening of the Sir Patrick Moore exhibition by Dr John Mason MBE. Sir Patrick was a huge supporter of the cricket club for decades.

After lunch in the marquee, the 30-overs-a-side Selsey v Lashings match begins at 2.30pm.

The tea interval is at 4.30 and will included displays by the Razzle Dazzle Cheerleaders and the Academy Dance Group.

The match is due to finish around 7pm with the presentation of the Sir Patrick Moore Trophy to the winning team.

During the day, there will be a Hog Roast, Burgers, Hot Dogs and ice cream on Sale.

Children’s entertainment will include bouncy castles, a runaway train, mini circus and fairground rides.
