Bognor under-15s’ (pictured) long journey to Hellingly, East Sussex, yielded the full five points from a 39-12 win to take them back to the top of the league.

New signing Harry Edwards stormed through the Hellstorm defence to score under the posts and set up Ben Luxton for the conversion.

The home team worked their way into the corner for five points. But following a scrum, No8 Leon Young took advantage off an empty blindside to make it 12-5.

Luxton was forced off injured but Bognor added tries from Joe Alexander, Ben Calleja and a hat-trick and conversion from Toby Macer. Two yellow cards came before Hellstorm added seven more points.

With both sides just above the relegation zone, this was a must-win match for Chichester under-15s.

Robin Aldridge opened the scoring with a try in the corner.

A probing kick from Sam Hudson won Chichester a ten-metre scrum from which No8 Josh Coleman picked up the ball and crashed over the try line.

George Bell made good ground and passed to Danny Graham, who slipped several tackles to score. Chris Brooke-Jones added to the score just before half-time.

In the second half, Alex Taylor collected the ball five metres out and took the direct route to score.

Nathan Bennett seized on a spilt ball shrugged off a tackle and sprinted his way to the line.

Rory Sellwood rolled through two tackles and found Hudson.

A lineout was caught by Taylor, who passed to Brooke-Jones who shrugged off five tackles to score under the posts.

Hastings nabbed a consolation try but Hudson cut through the defensive line again.
