James Baker made it three wins from three at the revived Chichester Half Marathon – winning this year’s race by several minutes.
The Chichester Runners ace was way ahead of his nearest rival to finish in 1hr 13min 05sec – 41 seconds outside the course record Baker set last year.
First lady home was also local – Kari Mack of Bognor’s Tone Zone Runners taking the honours.
There were more than 700 finishers and the event, which started in Westgate and finished at the race village in the Chichester College car park, was declared a big success.
BBC South Today presenter Sally Taylor started the race and presented the first runners home with their medals.
