Alex Napier stormed to take top spot in a Bognor Regis Cycling Club’s time trial.

Despite roads still very wet from heavy rain leading up to the race, Naiper toughed out the conditions to finish first with a time of 20min 20sec.

Elise Sherwell led the ladies home despite being impeded by a lorry during competition.

Bognor’s age records have started to tumble in recent races with young racer David Patten setting a new standard in the ten-mile race.

As well as this ten-mile race record falling, previous bests in both 25 and 100 mile competitions have fallen in recent weeks.
