CHICHESTER speedster Robert Goodall competed in the final round of the Triumph Triple Challenge Championship on his Brit Racing-run bike around the 2.4-mile Brands Hatch GP circuit.
He qualified with a time of 1.36.76 which placed him 27th on the grid.
As the lights went green for race one, Goodall enjoyed a good start and soon settled into a rhythem as the ten laps unfolded with riders sliding out in front and behind him.
He started to move through the field on the very wet and precarious track. Goodall took the chequered flag in 14th place overall and eighth in class.
Goodall started 20th for race two, again on a wet track.
With the ten-lap race under way, Goodall mantained pace with those ahead but like quite a lot of the field looked very edgey on a slippery surface. As the race progreesed, he moved up to 18th, where he remained until the chequered flag.
His first season in the Triumph Triple Challenge has been a steep learning curve which he has coped with well, and he finished the season in 28th in the championship standings on four points. Hopefully we will see him back in 2014, running in the top half of the field.
