Bognor Table Tennis Club hosted the town’s 2013 open at Felpham Leisure Centre.

More than 30 players aged from seven to 70 entered and enjoyed five hours of competitive action.

The tournament was banded into three levels to accommodate all abilities, with prizes on offer for advanced, intermediate and junior/beginners.

Overall winner and 2013 open champion was Tomas Brewka, whose all-round power was too much for runner-up Artur Kuzniki.

In the intermediate category, victory went to Miles Ross, who went through the day unbeaten.

The junior/beginners section was won by promising Ryan Darwen, who overcome a mixed field of older players and fellow juniors.

At the end of play, county umpire Alan White presented awards to the winners and the tournament organiser.

BRTTC head coach Mateusz Sadlowski praised the success of the tournament, saying the club were looking forward to hosting more events in future.
