Goodwood and Fontwell bosses hope for awards success

Each racecourse has been listed among finalists in three categories at the Racecourse Association’s Showcase & Awards event.

Goodwood is nominated in the events, food and beverage and digital/social media excellence categories.

Fontwell are in the frame for best marketing campaign after a record attendance at family fun day; digital/social media excellence – after the success of a Finding Miss Fontwell contest at Ladies’ Evening; and owners’ experience.

There are a number of finalists from across the country in each category and the winners will be crowned at today’s ceremony at Doncaster Racecourse.

Bosses from Goodwood and Fontwell will be there to see if they have won and are delighted to have at least been recognised.

Celebrating excellence and innovation on British racecourses, the RCA Showcase & Awards feature a daytime seminar with a variety of speakers from racing as well as other sports and leisure industries before the awards ceremony in the evening.

There are ten main awards in total, covering all aspects of racecourse operation, with the ultimate goal of celebrating and rewarding initiatives which enhance the customer experience.
