Former England goalkeeper David Seaman is supporting autism charity Prior’s Court - which helps families in Sussex and across the south-east - by participating in their annual golf day this Friday (May 16).
To help boost funds from the event he is even offering the chance to play alongside him in a four-ball golf match to whoever bids the most.
The charity golf day will take place at Sandford Springs Golf Club in Kingsclere, Berkshire. Teams of four are invited to enter at a cost of £270 per team.
The event will raise funds for a much-needed multi-sensory suite at Prior’s Court, Berkshire, one of a small number of charities in the UK providing support for young people severely challenged by their autism.
Jo Trezise, Community and Events Fundraiser for Prior’s Court, is delighted Seaman has offered his support for this event.
“We would like to thank David Seaman for taking part in the event and especially for his kind offer to play in a four-ball with the highest bidder,” she said.
“This has the potential to really boost the funds raised from what promises to be a great day’s golfing and fun event. There are just a few team places still available so do get in touch if you would like to join David Seaman and Sandford Springs Club president Dickie Davies - and of course don’t forget to register your bid to have David Seaman playing in your team.
“We would also like to thank Foundation IT for sponsoring the Golf Day Programme and Maxx Design for designing and printing support.”
