THERY RACON has a role to play in Pompey’s survival fight.
Andy Awford has assured the French midfielder he is part of his plans as the League Two season approaches its climax.
Awford brought the French midfielder into the fray at Newport County, but he did not feature in the squad for Saturday’s win over Hartlepool.
Racon has not seen first-team action for the past eight games for Pompey. But Awford confirmed the 29-year-old has not been injured of late – and indicated he is in his thinking.
Awford said: ‘Thery’s not been injured that I know of.
‘He trained last week and was on the bench if required.
‘He’s available for selection.
‘I brought him back against Newport because he’s a good player and he deserved his place on the bench.
‘We’ll address it game by game but he has a part to play.’
