PLYMOUTH boss Derek Adams admitted it’s looking like the play-offs for his side.

And Pilgrims fans have reacted to their side’s poor form ahead of Saturday’s trip to Fratton Park by putting their tickets up for sale.

Adams could be without former Blues target Reuben Reid for the crucial promotion showdown.

That’s after defeat to AFC Wimbledon continued their struggling form.

Plymouth have found themselves out of the automatic promotion places after setting the pace for much of the campaign

Late goals have condemned them to defeat in their past two outings against Exeter and the Dons.

That extends their form to a run of five defeats in eight games ahead of this weekend’s visit.

Adams admitted he thinks it will now be hard for his side to finish in the top three.

He told the Plymouth Herald: ‘I think that automatic promotion is going to be very difficult.

‘That’s because of the way we can’t defend a lead and we haven’t taken our chances.

‘You can see that it is individual errors, and you can’t legislate for that.

‘It’s not an easy situation to solve because if it’s a number of different individuals that the mistakes are falling on then it becomes harder and harder.’

Plymouth fans have expressed their disappointment at their side’s form with a display of gallows humour ahead of the game.

They took to Twitter to vent their frustrations, with one fan putting his ticket up for sale for the Pompey clash.

There appeared a light-hearted tone to that statement, but others have been more vehement in their criticism of Adams’ side.

Meanwhile, Plymouth have recalled young striker, Tyler Harvey, from his loan spell with Bath City ahead of Saturday’s meeting.

That’s after Reid was ruled out of the Dons clash on Saturday after suffering a thigh injury.

Harvey has been operating in Conference South for Bath, where he has grabbed four goals in six appearances.

That included an impressive goal from long range against Weston-super-Mare, which went viral.

The 20-year-old has made six appearances off the bench for Plymouth this season, without scoring.

Harvey has made a total of 10 starts and 48 sub outings for the club – scoring three goals.

Reid has seven goals from 29 appearances for Adams’ side this term.
