Ricardo Rocha has not received any offers to walk away from Pompey.

The News understands talk of the former Portuguese international potentially moving to the MLS in America is wide of the mark.

The defender is among a host of players in discussions with the Blues over a new deal.

Rocha has yet to reach an agreement with Guy Whittingham over remaining at Fratton Park.

Whittingham revealed last week he had held talks with the 34-year-old over extending his contract after he returned to the club in November.

They have yet to be concluded, however, and the Pompey manager has made it clear he will not stretch his finances to accommodate the player.

Rocha missed the final game of the season at Shrewsbury on Saturday, as he sat out of the 3-2 defeat with a hamstring problem.

Speculation emerged in the wake of the defeat that there was an offer on the table for the player to move Stateside.

However, sources close to Rocha have said there are no clubs who have made a bid for his services – despite him being a free agent.

Meanwhile, discussions with Patrick Agyemang over joining the Blues are close to being concluded.

The striker, who impressed in 15 appearances after arriving on loan from Stevenage, now looks set to arrive on a permanent basis.

Talks have progressed well with the former QPR hitman who has found his confidence and form rejuvenated since moving to Fratton Park in January.

Whittingham revealed earlier this week he has offered fresh deals to all of his Pompey squad.

n Pompey have announced they will play the Hawks in a pre-season friendly on July 9 at Westleigh Park.
