Jon Tucker has made a sensational return to Rustington Football Club - the place where his managerial career began.
Tucker, who has had two stints at Wick and managed Pagham since stepping down from his Blues role back in 2012, was announced as Rustington boss again yesterday.
A remarkable turnaround sees Tucker back in management just over a week after he decided to step down from his role as Wick boss for a second time.
Tucker takes over a team currently struggling in Southern Combination League Division 2, two leagues below his former side Wick.
Blues are yet to collect a point from eight league matches but chairman Trevor Waller believes Tucker will turn things around.
He said: “Jon started out here and it’s great to have him back.
“He’s a lot more experienced than when he was here before and it’s a great coup to get him back.
“Hopefully he’ll be able to bring a couple of additions and shape the squad.”
Tucker was in attendance as Blues suffered a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of league leaders Bosham on Saturday.
