Sussex under-16s won the National Cup – making them the best county representative football team in the country for their age group.

The game was played at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground and Bognor’s Charlie Williamson played the whole game and took the free kick that led to Sussex first goal in a 2-1 win against a strong North Yorkshire team.

Williamson, 16, has just been named the Pebbles’ players’ player of the season.
