Chichester started quickly at Coles Park and Jade Widdowson left fly from long distance and it was only just wide.

Against the run of the play, Haringey edged in front just before the quarter-hour through the dangerous Anais Reynolds. Chichester failed to deal with a free-kick and when a weak clearance dropped to Reynolds she turned quickly and fired low into the bottom corner past the dive of Sally-Anne Thompson.

It wasn’t long before parity was restored, Jess Lewry netting with a superb volley following a long throw from Lauren Cheshire.

Just after the half-hour Chichester were in front through Cherelle Khassal. She picked up the ball near the halfway line and drove at the heart of the Haringey defence. With players backing off, the striker unleashed a thunderbolt from nearly 30 yards that went like a rocket into the top corner with keeper Cherkish Young helpless.

Near the hour mark, Chloe Dowdell got her name on the scoresheet to give Chichester a two-goal cushion. Her curling effort caused chaos at the far post and the ball was judged to have crossed the line before the home side could clear.

Khassal benefited from a woeful pass to storm through on goal and easily beat Young at the second attempt.

Hartingey continued to battle and they found a way through as Klesha Darroux appeared unchecked at the far post to slam in a well-flighted free kick from Jaidene Browne.

There was a moment of déjà vu for the next goal sublimely taken by captain Becky Barron. As happened last week, Lucie Challen was upended outside the area and Barron produced another wonderful free-kick.

Jade Widdows came on and, with her first touch, hammered the ball into the roof of the net thanks to a well-directed header into the danger area by Widdowson from a corner.

Sbstitute Charley Wilson grabbed her first goals for the club since joining. Both strikes epitomised her quality as a striker, using strength and guile to bring about the perfect finish to help Chichester to an 8-2 margin.
