UNDER-13

Chichester City 3 Cuckfield Cosmos 1

Chichester beat Cuckfield Cosmos at North Mundham.

After a slow start for Chichester, Cuckfield pressed and went 1-0 up. But Chichester soon fought back and Tilly Gray equalised.

In the second half, Abigail Field kept Chichester’s midfield strong with help from Lou Lou Robson.

A brilliant pass by Robson enabled Gray to drive in for a 2-1 lead.

There was no stopping Robson and she set up Gray to make it 3-1 to Chichester.

CHICHESTER: Armatey, Field, Gray, Walford, Lawerence, Juggins, Robson,Heath Nicholls, Greenshields.

Hawks Youth 3 Chichester City 7

Chichester started well and Field chipped the keeper for a 1-0 lead.

Walford and Heath were controlling the back line well. A Chichester corner taken by Robson led to Greenshields getting her head on it for 2-0.

Heath found Robson, who lobbed the keeper for the third. A great pass from Robson enabled Gray to make it 4-0.

Greenshields found the top corner and Hawks were becoming frustrated. They managed to break down Chichester’s defence to make it 5-1.

A great pass from Lawerence set up Greenshields to restore the five-goal advantage.

Hawks scored from a corner and then made it 6-3.

Chichester wanted more and Gray drove home their seventh.

UNDER-11

Chichester City 0 Horsham Sparrows 2

Chichester rotated their growing squad for this league encounter.

The away side performed well early on and took the lead on ten minutes.

Chichester made numerous changes to give all three subs some match time and they launched several attacks on the Horsham goal.

Poppy Morgan, Anne Smith and Rebecca Mann had seven shots at goal between them in the first half but found the keeper in fine form.

The second half started with Horsham doubling their lead after ten seconds.

Chichester tried in vain to beat the excellent goalie but when they did finally get past her, a lob from Phoebe Irish was inches wide and Bea Daley hit the bar,.
