Rocks Review: Youngsters step up - and there’s a signing from Barcelona

Ollie Pearce and Ryan Morey are the latest to move up from the youth team and sign Ryman League registration forms.

Although both will be in FA Youth Cup action for the Pebbles tonight (Monday) at Faversham Town, it is possible they may be in the squad for the Ryman League Cup tie at Burgess Hill on Tuesday evening.

Both have interesting links with the club as their fathers - Robbie Pearce and Alun Morey - are both former Rocks players.

In addition to their recent excellent performances for the youth side, Pearce has been playing in the Sussex League for home-town club Midhurst and scored a memorable hat-trick at Mile Oak last weekend.

Another signing comes from farther afield. Pau Casassa Busquets has been recruited from FC Martinenc, a Spanish semi-professional side in the Barcelona region.

Midfielder Pau is studying at Chichester University and has been looking for a suitable side to join in the area and has been training with Bognor for the past couple of weeks while awaiting his international clearance which which is expected any day.
