Rocks Review: Whyte wanted at Havant, but could still return

WINGER Harvey Whyte could be back with the Rocks next season – even though he is wanted at Havant & Waterlooville.

The youngster impressed on loan at Nyewood Lane from Havant in the latter stages of the season and may be borrowed again if the Rocks management get their way.

Havant, who are rebuilding under new manager Stuart Ritchie, have said they want to keep Whyte on.

But Rocks joint boss Jamie Howell said: “Harvey did very well with us and there might be a possibility of another loan.

“We’d like to work with him again.”

All else is quiet on the player front, with Howell not expecting much movement in or out until pre-season begins at the start of July.

As reported last week, Tonbridge-based Steve Harper is having to consider his options because of the travelling distance to Bognor.
