Dartford 3 Rocks 3

JASON PRIOR notched a brilliant hat-trick but was unable to prevent the Rocks suffering late heartbreak in a 3-3 draw at Dartford.

The Rocks took to the field at Dartford's impressive Princes Park Stadium without injured skipper Michael Birmingham.

Within minutes, Dartford signalled their intent as Ryan Hayes broke down the right, cut inside and fired in a powerful shot which grazed the post.

Dartford showed their pedigree in the opening period with heavy pressure and earned five early corners.

One of these produced a great chance for May but, with the goal at his mercy, he somehow allowed Andrej Pernecky to pull off a reflex save.

Moments later James Crane headed off the line and from a Dartford follow-up as Pernecky produced another magnificent save.

A rare Bognor attack saw Louie Castles create half-a-chance, but his shot was too high.

In the 35th minute Bognor shocked the large home crowd by taking the lead with an excellent goal by Jason Prior.

A crisp, passing move down the left saw Castles put in a powerful cross and the former Moneyfields striker headed powerfully past the despairing Young.

After weathering an early storm in the second half, PRIOR headed in Bognor's second goal in the 55th minute.

Dartford poured forward and managed to pull a goal back through HARRIS five minutes later with a neat lob.

Then Dartford equalised as the Rocks wilted under the pressure and a cheeky back-heel from the impressive HARRIS sneaked in at the far post.

The Rocks regained the lead with another PRIOR header.

And with moments to go Bognor almost extended their lead as Greenfield outpaced the home defence.

But Rocks hearts were broken in the 94th minute as Dartford right-back BURGESS headed home in a crowded area to level the scores.
