Cricket pros pass on their skills in West Sussex

AFTER a successful summer, LCA Cricket Coaching are holding four pre-Christmas courses in West Sussex.

The courses will start on October 12 and 14 and run for ten weeks, aimed at boys and girls of all ages, abilities.

They’ll be run by current or ex-pros alongside experienced community coaches to give players a taster of what it takes to reach the top.

David Balcombe, a head coach and current Hampshire star, said: “Having worked in this area for some time, we’ve seen some massive improvements and hopefully some future stars, not only for local clubs, but Sussex as well.”

The Chichester Cricket Academy courses will run at Bishop Luffa School and will cost £85.

On Wednesdays, from October 12 to December 14, there will be sessions for under-12s from 6pm to 7.30pm and for under-16s from 7.30pm to 9pm.

On Fridays, from October 14 to December 16, under-12s will be coached from 6pm to 7.30 and under-16s from 7.30 to 9pm.
