Steyning man dies following collision.

THE man who died following a collision on the A283 at Steyning yesterday has been identified by police as John Walker from Steyning.
The 76-year-old died after his Peugeot was involved in a collision with a lorry shortly before 11am yesterday morning (Thursday, August 7).

The driver of the lorry, a 50-year-old Crowborough man, was treated for shock injuries.

The road was closed until 2.30pm.

Police would like to thank road users who were inconvenienced for their patience.

Any witnesses to the collision should contact the Road Policing Unit at Haywards Heath by calling 0845 60 70 999 and quoting Operation Howley.
