LETTER: Parking permits are a welcome addition

AS a resident of one of the roads close to Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis, I welcome the proposal to create residents’ parking zones.

While I have some sympathy with businesses on Aldwick Road, residents do not all work from nine till five – some of us are full-time parents, some work shifts, and some are retired.

Most of us would like to be able to come and go at various times of the day – but some of us find it impossible to park in the road where we live during the day – and there is often no space until after six in the evening.

I have sometimes had to park in the under-used free car park at Victoria Road and walk home in the rain with heavy shopping – okay for me – but not for some elderly or disabled residents, or those with young children.
