I would like to endorse what Alexandra Badcock wrote in her letter last week. Our experience of 111 NHS out-of-hours service was excellent.
My husband became unwell on Friday, July 5, at 6 o’clock. I rang 111 which was immediately answered, I was asked a number of questions and put through to a doctor who asked only a few questions and said a doctor would come out immediately.
Within 20 minutes a wonderful doctor arrived who examined my husband thoroughly. He said my husband’s blood pressure was extremely low and advised us what to do and to call 111 again if we were worried. We felt reassured and grateful for the quick and efficient response.
Hurrah for 111.
