Woman is attacked as she walks her dog in Felpham

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an unprovoked attack on a Felpham playing field.

Between 4pm and 5pm on November 27 the 45-year-old woman was attacked while she was walking her dog in the alleyway which runs alongside King George’s Field off Felpham Way.

As her dog went into the field the woman was grabbed from the side by a man, causing scratch marks to her neck area and pain to her wrist caused when she fell.

Her dog went for the attacker and chased him off. The woman was shocked but did not go to hospital.

The suspect is described as white, of medium build, about 5ft 6ins, with an unshaven face and wearing dark clothing with his hood up.

When the dog attacked him the victim heard him shout out in what sounded like a foreign language.

Sergeant Jo French said: “The motive for this isolated incident is currently a mystery. Our enquiries are continuing to identify the attacker and local officers have carried out additional patrols in the area.”

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 1167 of 27/11. You can telephone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
