Volunteers wanted for first party in the park event

AN APPEAL to help make a new Bognor Regis event a success has been made.

The ROX in the Park event is being planned and produced by seven third-year Chichester University students along with their mentors from Rox Music and Arts.

Organisers of the free event are looking for local bands, dance groups, singers and entertainers to perform on the bandstand throughout the day.

Each performance will have a set time to perform and a range of different genres and acts are needed. The event’s team are also looking for local businesses to hold stalls at the event selling homemade crafts, produce, children’s toys, etc.

Volunteers will also be required to help at the event, including roles such as marshalling, set-up and collecting donations.

The fun will take place in Hotham Park during the Easter school holiday, from 11am to 5pm on April 11, subject to the required licence being obtained.

The aim of the event is to raise much-needed funds and increase awareness for Rox.
