IT’S OFFICIAL - drivers can now use the North Bersted relief road.
After a long wait around 11.50am today (Wednesday, December 17) the first members of the public drove their vehicles along the 1.8km route between Rowan Way and Chichester Road.
Costing some £8m, the road was approved by the government in 2006, and will enable motorists to avoid the previous bottlenecks along Chichester Road.
The route forms half of the Bognor Regis Relief Road.
