VIDEO: Lanterns released in memory of a Bognor Regis girl killed in a car crash

TRIBUTES have been paid to a Bognor Regis teenager who died after the car she was travelling in crashed in Halnaker.

Hundreds gathered around Bognor’s pier to release Chinese lanterns and balloons from 8pm on Monday, September 23 as a mark of respect to Jasmine Elkasmi.

The 16-year-old was killed when a Vauxhall Corsa rolled on to its side in Tinwood Lane, Halnaker, near Chichester on Saturday.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the single vehicle collision to come forward.

Officers are keen to speak to a white man who was driving a black car, possibly aged in his 50s.
